Today’s tip on how to help an addicted loved one recover is more of a recovery principle that’s important to me. And that is that the privilege of recovering from addiction is that I’m constantly grateful for the goodness around me. You know, I know all too well, the hell of the life I left behind and how blessed I am to have found a new one and a way out of it. But as for me, I couldn’t have done it without a newly formed and more relaxed, loving view of God. I believe God’s in my corner and he wants my success. On the other hand, you know, I have shame about my past and the people that I hurt, but it is so nice to know to have inner peace and knowledge that God is in my corner.
