Recovery Tip 33: The Principle of Convalescence

Today’s tip on how to help an addicted loved one recover is the principle of convalescence. Convalescence, or rather time spent recovering from an illness or medical treatment is as critical for someone leaving rehab as it is for the cancer patient leaving the intensive care unit. When someone is newly sober, allow them the blessing of convalescence to take it slow and to take it easy so that they can gain strength
